The Ulisse Estate is linked to the historic vineyards of Abruzzo, the traditions of the places where they are cultivated and vinified, the lynx of a millennial culture that still fueled the passion for wine. A company with a return to the origins, in love with wine and Abruzzo.
All the fields of Ulisse Estate have a peculiarity, for exposure, microclimate, composition, soil and ventilation. Each one expresses its own identity. This diversity is a wealth that has to be protected and valued up to the bottle. Ulisse has become the guardian of an equilateral ampelographic heritage in Abruzzo.
The Pecorino wine, which is derived from the native vine of the Adriatic side of the central Apennine, has a perfect balance between acidity and freshness. Peculiar, unique, unrepeatable. The reason for its name (the same of the known cheese) is uncertain, but probably due to the seasonal movements of shepherds who, when they returned from mountain areas in September, brought their flocks to graze on the vineyards where the fruit had already been harvested.
The wine has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections and has a scent with very accented citrus, mixed with peach and exotic fruits.
Great with appetizers of raw fish, first courses and fish roasts.
